Chemical Industries Employees Union (CIEU) was formed and registered on 9th October 1981 after the restructuring of the Singapore Industrial Labour Organisation (SILO) and the Pioneer Industries Employees' Union (PIEU).

We are an affiliated union of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and represent over 24,000 members in the chemical industry. The sector that CIEU covers include:
